A multi-phased, multi-unit development was establishing lots outside the City of Brandon, and wastewater servicing was required for a future population of 795.
BMCE completed a feasibility study for the development, evaluating the benefits of expanding an existing lagoon, constructing a new lagoon, or connecting to the City of Brandon’s collection network. Upon determining that a new lagoon was the best solution, BMCE provided the preliminary, functional and detailed design of a three-cell wastewater treatment lagoon to service the development as well as contributions from the community of Chater for a total capacity of 1025 persons.
BMCE completed the environment act permit applications on behalf of the developer and oversaw the construction of the new wastewater treatment lagoon, completing regular inspections during construction to monitor and evaluate the performance of the work before commissioning the lagoon into operation.
